Dining Room Chair Advice.

Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice on some dining room chairs that were gifted to us when we brought the house. They lady that owned the house previously was notorious for being very house proud and always owning top of the range furniture/homeware.

Someone did tell me that it may be 1930's
The Carvings particularly on the back looks to be hand carved
Seats have a leather covering
Some form of stamp on the structure when seat pad removed but I cannot make it out
Property was built in 1951 and in the Greater Manchester area

Any advice would be much appreciated - I feel I owe it to the previous owner to make sure I do all my due diligence and if they are worth anything the extra cash will help with replacing the single glazed windows she left us .

I'm new to the site. Doesn't look like there is much activity here. I can say I collected antiques for over 45 years. The bottom has dropped out for selling antiques. I sold my entire collection for $5000.00. It filled a warehouse. Years ago, I would have maybe gotten 65k for the lot. The chairs look very nice. Look like oak to me. Which if I was to buy antiques now, I would look for the oak. The other fine woods break to easy and in todays world they just don't fit. Unless you quarantine the room. Unless you plan on keeping the set, I would post them on facebook. Always go high on price, gives you some bargaining leverage.

I was looking at the wood. Looks like there actually might be several types used. You can tell the age of wood cuts by the saw cuts, last photo.
