This bowl has a scene by artist Angelica Kauffman. The mark on the bottom is a simple shield type outline with the words Le Chateau and a small shield inside. The bowl is approximately 9 3/4 in. across, 11 in. across at the handles, and 4 in. high. It is in excellent condition. It was a wedding present 67 years ago—and was possibly owned by a family member for some time prior to bring given as a gift.
Could anyone tell me about the bowl? Does anyone know about the mark? Age?
