I purchased this chinese armoire this week and wonder if anyone could tell me more about it. Attached are a few pictures. Thanks to this website I know that its pre 1860. All the joints are dovetailed and there is virtually no nails or screws. The hardware isn't screwed on either, rather they have metal spikes that are pounded over on the back side. There is read with black over the top. We also think we found a signature on a panel inside. The panels for the doors are removable by sliding a wooden slide up and then popping the panels out at the bottom. They are held in place by wood fitting into slots at the top.
