I recently purchased a set of two chairs with ottomans, and I can’t figure out where or when they are from. I just can’t seem to find anything even close. They remind me of bedroom chair or lounge chairs, but they’re so small I almost wonder if they’re for children I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction?
It looks like the original cushion was burlap stuffed with straw. That must have been covered by some kind of fabric that was buttoned down through the cushion and into the back. At some point this was removed, and another cushion was stapled on top of the original, and then a layer of broadcloth and a new green fabric was added. That must have been at least 40 or 50 years ago based on the condition and the style of the green fabric, which was disintegrating into dust when I got them. The wood looks like cherry or mahogany, it’s quite hard and the lacquer is just peeling off them now. Anything anyone can tell me would be a big help!

Thank you very much!
