I don't think they're antique. Vintage, more like. Most Japanese exports had "NIPPON" (which just means "made in Japan") marked on them from 1890 or so to around 1920-1, when the US passed law requiring the country of origin on imports to use the English alphabet. Of course, some continued to ignore...
