I purchased these from a thrift store. They have cork stoppers and Japan on the sides.

I don't think they're antique. Vintage, more like. Most Japanese exports had "NIPPON" (which just means "made in Japan") marked on them from 1890 or so to around 1920-1, when the US passed law requiring the country of origin on imports to use the English alphabet. Of course, some continued to ignore the law and got by with it for a short period. Later, the words "Made in" were also required. WwUI Era of just before, I think. The word "Japan" most likely puts your pieces in the 1920-1940 ballpark. I'd put a plus or minus 10 yrs on that. I have a cute lil bluejay marked similarly.

And I thought I would have nothing to contribute at first. Look at me almost sounding like I know stuff about stuff... (don't be fooled, lol).

If most of what I say makes no sense, it's because I have no idea what I'm doing. :?
